Are you ready for the holiday guest arriving soon? There always seems to be a greater accumulation of laundry that happens when guest stay as well. Does your laundry room scream "enter if you dare?" There is a way to transform that "enter if you dare" room to a peaceful and inviting room for under $200 right before the guest arrive.
One way to start, is with a fresh coat of paint. A soft neutral color can help make the room seem bigger and lighter. Is the floor looking a little worn out and dated? A way to save on the cost, is put a fresh coat of paint on the floor also. Storage and organization is great at helping to simplify everyday life task. Add some shelving and cabinets from a second hand store. A little sanding and paint can go a long way. Want to save time and energy from sorting through clothes? Have a few extra laundry baskets, so it makes sorting through the whites and darks easier. Like a little art? Be creative and have your kids color a picture and frame it. Another creative idea, frame scrap pieces of fabric. Think the original detergent bottles don't fit the decor. try putting the detergent in decor containers to add some character to the space. To finish the space have a couple baskets to hold extra towels and clothes pins. Last but not least don't forget about lighting. A gently used light fixture or spray paint the old fixture can go a long way.
Sit back and enjoy the new updated laundry room. Be ready and welcome your guest with ease.

"Kim Guest is an amazing agent. She was patient with me while purchasing my home after my husband passed away. She had to show me several homes and at that time I was very hard to please, showing me homes in evenings and weekends. Kim is a very passionate and knowledgeable agent. She worked very hard on getting me the home I wanted and seen me through my closing. Since I want to sell my home now Kim is the agent I turned to for that. She is my RE agent for life.
